Vincent Barras

Vincent Barras is a historian of medicine and sciences. He is currently Full Professor at the University of Lausanne. He supervises several researches in contemporary history of neuroscience and psychiatry. His own research focuses on the theories of brain and psyche in ancient medicine (Galen, the history of hallucinations (19th-21st Century)) and the history of the relation between neurology and psychiatry (art and mental disease, language disturbances).
