Luc Merchez

Luc Merchez, PhD in Geography, in senior lecturer (MCF) at Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon (France), member of the UMR 5600 EVS and the LabEX Intelligence des Mondes Urbains. For the past several years, he has been interested in urban mobilities in conjunction with socio-spatial inequalities (ANR VEL’INNOV project), as well as accessibility issues (especially food accessibility). He is specialized in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geostatistical analyzes, in particular at infra-urban scales. His research also focuses on geovisualization issues (types of representations, interactivity, …).

Bikeability refers to the capacity of spaces to accommodate, facilitate and secure cycling practices.
