Francesco Panese

Francesco Panese is Professor of social studies of science and medicine at the University of Lausanne. His research primarily focuses on the visual cultures in the sciences, the shaping of the body in biomedicine and, more generally, on the relations between science, medicine and society. He is currently working on two research projects : i-KnoT, i.e. Improving knowledge translation in healthcare, whose aim is to understand better and bridge the gap between clinical research and health care practice ; a social study of the current development of “big neuroscience” projects.
