Thibaut Dubarry is a former student in highly selective classes to prepare for the competitive exams to the Grandes Ecoles. He got the degree of Sciences Po Paris, a master in anthropology at EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes En Sciences Sociales), a Ph. D in social sciences of Sciences Po. He has been a visiting fellow in UCT (University of Cape Town) and Stellenbosch in South Africa. He has been distinguished honorary fellow of the University of Madison-Wisconsin. Specialist of Southern Africa, and more specifically of South Africa, he is achieving a post doc dealing with Pentecostalism and HIV/AIDSS in time of neoliberal democracy whose fieldwork is located in a south African township
