Sociologue de formation, Rachel Thomas est directrice de recherche au CNRS et chercheuse dans l’équipe CRESSON de l’UMR « Ambiances, Architectures, Urbanités ». Ses travaux actuels portent sur le développement d’une critique de l’urbain depuis le champ des ambiances et sur les transformations des cadres sensibles de la vie urbaine.
