Louis Carré est chargé de recherches auprès du FNRS et attaché au Centre de théorie politique (Université libre de Bruxelles). Ses travaux portent sur la philosophie sociale et politique contemporaine, sur Hegel et sur la théorie critique. Il termine actuellement une monographie sur Axel Honneth (à paraître en 2013).
