Hervé Flanquart

Hervé Flanquart is a sociologist and professor of urban planning and development. Member of the Territoires, Villes, Environnement & Société (TVES) laboratory, he teaches at the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO). His research focuses on the perception of territorial risks, in particular industrial and coastal risks. He is the author of Des risques et des hommes(2016) and co-editor of La ville et ses risques. Habiter Dunkerque (2017). He also runs the blog “Les mots du risque” on hypotheses.org.
