Florence Graezer Bideau

Florence Graezer Bideau is an anthropologist and specialist of contemporary China. She is a Tenured Senior Scientist at the Institute for Area and Global Studies in the College of Humanities, EPFL, and a Visiting Professor at the Department of Architecture and Design in the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Her works engage with state and its cultural institutions in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland. She has conducted research on popular culture and power, on heritage processes related to UNESCO Conventions and on the making of social fabric in cities.
