Catherine Bourgeois

Catherine Bourgeois holds a PhD in political and social sciences, and is researcher at the Groupe de recherche sur l’action publique (Université Libre de Bruxelles) within the FNRS-FRS project “Sensitive experience of the common in urban space”. Her work focuses on border and migration studies at the Dominican-Haitian border and at the Mexican-American border (Tijuana), Dominican nationalism, the commemorations of the Haitian genocide of 1937, as well as socio-racial categorizations in post-slavery societies.
