Originating from social sciences, yet integrating other domains, EspacesTemps.net explores its interfaces with diverse disciplinary fields, such as experimental sciences, engineering, architecture, philosophy, art, etc. The revue looks to multiply the clarifications on frequently debated questions alimented by various contiguous contributions. The dossiers of “Traverses” specifically invite the reader to navigate through the articles in a transversal and thematic manner.
Succeeding EspacesTempsLes Cahiers, paper revue founded in 1975 with an objective to “reflect on social sciences”, the revue EspacesTemps.net pursues the same epistemological reflection since 2002. By proposing exploration and conceptual construction work, including methodological reflections, EspacesTemps.net confronts social sciences with other disciplinary fields.
The revue is always looking at current situations, equally as much in social sciences as in overall societal phenomena. The most recent research, current events, debates, and publications are presented and discussed on EspacesTemps.net. With a publication including more than three articles on average per week, the innovative academic published work supplied by the editing committee takes advantage of the free distribution and continuous flow offered by web support.
Under the direction of an Editorial Board comprised of qualified researchers, the revue selects articles according to strict criteria in order to guarantee the quality of the publications. EspacesTemps.net also uses a network of reviewers that evaluates articles according to the international model of peer review. This affirms its will to keep its position of excellence within the social sciences.
EspacesTemps.net publishes diverse types of articles that are not only limited to traditional scientific articles, but also position papers, headlines, and reviews of other work. These are not strictly accessible to the academic lecturer, but rather to the general public. The six editorials proposed by the “Mensuelles”, the Book, the Word, the Map, the Site, the Photo, and the Object of the month, offer an original and pleasurable entry to the social sciences apparent in all the publications.
